Nextcloud 29 seems to be fully compatible, it will be deployed in the next maintenance.

Sub issue related to this: Re-evaluate S3 as primary storage, as this version includes several S3 improvements (see changelogs)

Just tried to host a test instance using native S3 primary backend - still sucks. Uploading using WebUI is slow and using clients has a 10% chance of success when files are over ~10MB. absolutely unusable (using B2's S3-API and sqlite db on hetzner CX22.)
